Lots of outfits to review here , kids, so let’s just get to it!
From the bottom to the top…
You know, I didn’t hate this look nearly as much as Tim Gunn did, but I will admit that it’s a little off. I like the color.
I think Char chose wisely when she decided to buy this fabric in Italy. This fabric might be the best thing about Char’s whole collection.
Very cute. I’d wear it.
I liked this too, though the judges over-praised it. I don’t like the Capris cut on the pants. It makes the model look short.
Horrible. The woman is a walking box of tissue.
I kinda like this. I can see JLo wearing this to the VMAs. Again, the fabric makes the look.
Aside from the Italian fabric, this was my favorite look in Char’s collection. It’s effortlessly stylish. I love the idea of combining a hoodie and a dress. It’s creative and fun. I wish more of the collection would have figuratively been cut from this same cloth.
This, on the other hand, is an affront to all that is fashionable.
I really thought Kini had this competition on lock-down. It’s a shame he didn’t show up to this final runway show.
You’ll see the following sentences from me a lot as a run through Kini’s looks: The fabric looks stiff. This is unflattering. There is no fashion in this outfit. This is fine, but a little boring.
This is fine, but a little boring. The skirt is unflattering.
There is no fashion in this outfit.
This is fine, but a little boring.
There is no fashion in this outfit.
Okay, I like this silhouette, but the fabric looks a little stiff.
That top does not go well with those Capris pants. The top is unflattering. There is no fashion in those pants.
This is one of the extras from Madonna’s “Human Nature” video. It’s fine, but a little boring.
It’s unflattering. And ugly.
I kinda like this one, but the fabric looks a little stiff.
Mother of God, that is the most unflattering outfit I have seen on PR finale runway. It looks like she’s wearing a cape, and she put her underwear on over her skirt. The “mermaid” style of the skirt just makes her hips look wide. It’s atrocious. She’s a vagina superhero.
I would have been fine with either Amanda or Sean winning the competition. Not because (as Tim claimed) they are the most talented group of designers ever) and not because (as Heidi said) this was the most difficult decision ever in the history of the show), but because I did not feel strongly about either collection one way or the other.
I like Amanda’s jewelry, perhaps more than I like her clothes.
Dear God those pants are horrible.
Cute dress. Not sure it needed the little jacket.
The top is fine. The crotch on those pants is insane. Also these pants are too long; they needed to be hemmed.
Okay, this is a cute dress, but it is one of many that will appear in this runway show that seems to be a little too big on the model.
I don’t like this. It doesn’t flatter the model and it looks overly complicated. Also, is it me or do these models all need better make-up?
This is cute.
I don’t know if she made improvements to this outfit since I saw it in the mini-collection, but I remember not liking it much then. I like it much more as part of the larger collection. This may be the most successful look in her runway show.
This is bad.
Remember how I said there would be a few pretty dresses that just look too big on the models?
The dress is very cute, but the jewelry is fierce. Makes the look. PR designers should take note: making one’s own jewelry is always a good idea.
The Muppets Take Manhattan.
In all seriousness, I liked Sean’s theme for his show (the betrayal and death of Caesar). He was clearly inspired by his trip to Rome, and I think that’s great. Also, as Nina mentioned, his collection was the most “editorial” of the bunch.
Very clean look to open his show. It makes an impression.
Awful. The shirt is too long, the fabric is too shiny, and the fringe looks stupid.
This is good, if a little safe.
The top does not go with the skirt. The fringe does not work in this outfit. It feels forced here.
This is a good use of fringe, but the top has fit issues.
I stand by my earlier statement about this dress. I think he does interesting things with draping here, but it borders on sleepwear.
The top does not go with the skirt (again).
This woman is being eaten by a Muppet.
Not bad for an eleventh-hour entry.
I don’t like Muppet dresses, but I think his collection would have been stronger if this had been the only fringe on the runway. It would have made more of a statement.
So there you have it! Season 13 is over, and Sean is the winner.
Can’t wait for All Stars…
